Sons of The American Legion at Post 144
Post 144 has an active Sons of The American Legion (SAL) Squadron, open to males of all ages with a family connection to American Legion eligibility.
What is the SAL?
Founded in 1932, the Sons of The American Legion is a national organization of more than 400,000 members who honor the service and sacrifice of veterans. SAL members support their local American Legion post through fundraising, community service, and volunteer programs, organized into local Squadrons like ours here at Post 144.
Who's eligible?
Membership is open to sons, grandsons, and other male descendants (of any age) of a veteran who served during a war era and was, or would have been, eligible for American Legion membership. Because the exact eligibility periods can be detailed, the American Legion's national eligibility page is the authoritative source to confirm your own eligibility.
